Northrim Bank is headquartered in Anchorage. They opened their doors in 1990 and were the first bank to offer automated phone banking services in 1991 to their customers in the state of Alaska. Their standard CD rates are as follows. The 5 year CD has an APY of 2.05%. The 4 year CD has an APY of 1.90%. The 3 year CD has an APY of 1.40%. The 2 year CD has an APY of 1.30%. The 1 year CD has an APY of 1.10% and the 6 month CD has an APY of 0.50%. Each of these CD’s require a minimum deposit of $500 to open an account. These rates were posted on June 1, 2010 and were still current as of June 4, 2010.

The First Bank has been serving Southeastern Alaska since 1924. They are currently offering a 6 month CD special with an APY of 1.25%. They also offer standard CD’s at various rates. The 60 month CD has an APY of 3.35%. The 48 month CD has an APY of 2.85%. The 36 month CD has an APY of 2.53%. The 24 month CD has an APY of 2.17%. The 12 month CD has an APY of 1.50% and the 3 month CD has an APY of 0.75%. Each of these APY are for deposits between $0.00 and $24,999.99. The rates were posted on May 10, 2010 and were still current as of June 4, 2010.
