Arkansas CD Rates
The local Arkansas CD Rates are from well established financial institutions that have headquarters in the state. These are run by members of the community and not from some far off city that is faceless.
The Bank of Little Rock is such one bank. They first opened their doors in 1927 and in 1989 became a full service bank to the community. Their CD rates are as follows. The 2 year CD has an APY of 1.76%. The 1 year CD has an APY of 1.26%. The 6 month CD has an APY of 1.00% and the 3 month CD has an APY of 0.50%. A minimum deposit of $500 is required and the rates were posted on April 19, 2010 and were still current as of June 4, 2010.
Another local financial institution is the Bank of Arkansas. The current CD rates for deposits below $100,000 are as follows. The 7 year CD has an APY of 3.15%. The 5 year CD has an APY of 2.50%. The 4 year CD has an APY of 2.15%. The 3 year CD has an APY of 1.80%. The 2 year CD has an APY of 1.25% and the 18 month CD has an APY of 1.00%. These rates were posted on June 3, 2010 and were still current as of June 4, 2010. There is no fee or minimum to open a CD with this bank.
Since 1934, First Federal Bank has been serving the community of Harrison Arkansas. Since that time it has grown and expanded to 20 branch offices in Northcentral and Northwestern parts of the state. The current CD rates were posted on June 1, 2010 and can be seen below.
The special 9 month CD has an AP of 1.05% and the special 16 month CD has an APY of 1.36%. Both of these require a minimum deposit of $5000. The standard 8 year CD has an APY of 2.57%. The 5 year CD has an APY of 2.37%. The 3 year CD has an APY of 1.96% and the 2 year CD has an APY of 1.56%. Each of these standard CDs require a minimum of $1000 to open an account.
