The biggest split we see in Virginia’s best CD rates is on this 5 year term with SunTrust giving a 1.90% APY with their $2,000 minimum deposit requirement.
Second place goes to Wachovia at a 1.16% APY with a $1,000 minimum deposit.

For the 6 month term, the best CD rates in Virginia are at Wachovia this time, at 0.45% APY with their $1,000 minimum deposit and the runner up is SunTrust at 0.25% APY with a $2,000 minimum deposit.
