This is a Capital One CD Rates Update for May 2010. These CD rates were posted on April 28, 2010 and are still current as of May 4, 2010.

The 10 and 7 year CD’s have an interest rate of 3.20% with an APY of 3.25%, The 5 year CD has an interest rate of 2.92% and an APY of 2.96%. The 4 year CD has an interest rate of 2.47% and an APY of 2.50%. The 3 year CD has an interest rate of 1.88% and an APY of 1.90%. The 2 ½ year CD has an interest rate of 0.75% and an APY of 0.75%. The 2 year CD has an interest rate of 1.24% and an APY of 1.25%. The 1 ½ year CD has an interest rate of 0.91% and an APY of 0.91%. The 1 year CD has an interest rate of 0.50% and an APY of 0.50%. The 5 year CD has an interest rate of 0.25% and an APY of 0.25%.

The rates of these CD’s are locked after 10 days from when the account is opened. If the funds for the CD are received by Capital One within 10 days of opening an account, it will receive the rate that was current as of the application date.

To receive the posted APY, all interest and the full deposit must remain in the account until the maturity date of the CD. The minimum deposit for these rates is $5,000.
