    The bank CD rates tiered format is the standard rates and those with a Performance Select checking account respectively. The standard fixed rate CD requires a minimum deposit of $1,000.

    The 1 month CD is earning an APY of 0.10% and 0.10% respectively. The 3 month CD is earning an APY of 0.15% and 0.15%. The 6 month CD is earning an APY of 0.20% and 0.25%. The 1 year CD is earning an APY of 0.40% and 0.45%.

    The 18 month CD is earning an APY of 0.50% and 0.55% respectively. The 2 year CD is earning an APY of 0.45 and 0.50%. The 3 year CD is earning an APY of 0.65% and 0.70%. The 4 year CD is earning an APY of 1.00% and 1.05%.

    The 5 year CD is earning an APY of 1.20% and 1.25%. The 7 year CD is earning an APY of 1.70% and 1.75%. The best CD rates are from the 10 year CD that is earning an APY of 1.95% and 2.00%.

    There is also a promotional fixed term 9 month CD that is earning an APY of 0.42% and 0.45% respectively. This CD required a minimum deposit of $250.

    • ]]>     The National City CD rates are some of the best CD rates today.  Today, we will review the National City CD rates so that you can find the highest CD rates at National City.

    The National City certificates of deposits all require a minimum deposit of $2,500.  A $2,500 minimum CD deposit is not too bad.  But, they need really good CD rates at this minimum deposit amount.

    National City CDs come in terms of 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, 24 months, 36 months, 48 months and 60 months.  The National City 6 month CD has an interest rate of 2.25% APY.  We don’t really like this National City 6 month CD.  You would be better off opening an ING Direct savings account or an HSBC savings account.

    Despite not being enthusiastic about the 6 month CD, the National City 60 month CD carries a high CD interest rate of 4.50% APY.  For a minimum deposit of $2,500, these 4.50% National City CD rates offers a nice premium over savings account interest rates.
