Like many of the smaller financial institutions across the nation, Quaint Oak Bank has above average bank CD rates. All certificates of deposits have a minimum deposit amount of $500 to open and obtain the stated APYs.

The current CD rates include the 6 month CD that is earning an APY of 0.75%. The 1 year CD is earning an APY of 1.05%. The 18 month CD that is earning an APY of 1.20%. The 2 year CD is earning an APY of 1.45%.

These CD rates are available for both the standard CDs and for IRA CDS.

The primary goal of Quaint Oak Bank is to provide highly competitive rates to their customers. As these rates as an example, they have met their goal. As reported by Bloomberg, the national average for a 1 year CD at this time is only 0.91%.

These are the best Quaint Oak Bank CD Rates today and shows the willingness of the smaller financial institutions to attract new customers with better rates then the larger financial giants that needed a bail out just a few years ago.

The Bank of the West CD rates are not disclosed on the website for this financial institution. They prefer you go to a branch office to discuss any investment in a CD. What they do disclose is that there are 4 different types of CDs offered at Bank of the West.

There is the Flexible term CD. This type has a minimum deposit of $1000. The interest is calculated daily and paid out either monthly or annually. Withdrawals are restricted until the maturity of the CD and statements are sent out annually or monthly. The terms of these CDs vary from 32 days to 60 months. At maturity, there is a 10 day grace period where if no action is taken it is renewed under the original terms of the investment.

The Premium Money Market CD has a minimum deposit of $2500 and has the interest calculated daily and paid out monthly or annually. Withdrawals are restricted until maturity and statements are sent out monthly and annually. The terms are 91 days, 182 days, 8 months, 12 months, and 24 months. This has a 10 day grace period at which the investment will be reinvested at the original term if no action is taken.

The 7-31 day CD requires a minimum deposit of $100,000 and has the interest calculated daily and paid out at maturity. Withdrawals are restricted until maturity, and statement issued monthly. The terms are from 7 to 31 days and there is a grace period of 1 day or the funds are reinvested.

The Jumbo CD is the last option this bank offers. The minimum deposit is $5,000,000. The interest is calculated daily and paid out monthly or annually. There are restrictions on withdrawals until maturity. Statements are sent out monthly and annually. The terms are up to 60 months and there is a 10 day grace period with automatic reinvestment at the end of it.

The best CD rates from this financial institution can only be found at a local branch office. The Bank of the West CD rates may be good, but I could not find out.

Continuing a local highlight, here at Best CD Rates Today, we’re going to look at the best CD rates available in Louisville, KY.

Certificates of deposit are those kind of financial instruments which are issued by a financial institution for a given amount and specific period. Louisville CD rates are calculated to make it easy for you to mint money, keep money and improve your financial condition for both present and future, giving you a piece of mind.

Certificate of deposits have a pre determined rate on a given time period, so you know what exactly will you get when ever they mature. So people who are residents of Louisville Kentucky have a chance to enjoy the best available CD rates anywhere in the world.

Louisville Kentucky CD rates are considered as one of the best CD rates in the world. If we take a look at the CD rates in Louisville, then the best example would be the Ascencia Bank of Louisville Kentucky which at present clutches on to the number 1 spot. Ascencia Bank has the best interest rate at 2.01% which is compounded monthly and an APY of 2.03%. There is a minimum amount of deposit required at $500 and a maximum amount of $250,000.

The other most attractive CD rates in Louisville are offered by Ally Bank which offer 1.88% of interest rate with an APY of 1.90 with no boundaries of a maximum or minimum deposit, but the deposit should be with the bank for a year. Ally Bank also come with the best rates offered for the 3 year CD which is 2.52% with an APY of 2.55 and a 5 year CD with 3.05% with an APY of 3.10, which again is offered to the people of Louisville without any limit of minimum deposit. The interest rate however is compounded yearly.

Check out the U.S .Bank CD rates if you are ready to make that low-risk diversification in your investment portfolio and retirement assets. You can decide on the amount of money to put in your CD and the length of the term. You generally receive a higher interest rate on CDs with longer terms and higher balances.

U.S. Bank CDs and Retirement CDs offer flexible terms from 1 month to 5 years and are covered by FDIC insurance. The minimum opening deposit is $1,000. Effective 11/17/2009, U.S. Bank offers a special rate on some of their CDs. All interest payments for these special rates will be made at the end of the term or annually, whichever occurs first. The 21 months CD has an interest rate of 1.14% with an APY of 1.15%. The 42 months CD has an interest rate of 2.23% with an APY of 2.25%. The 59 months CD has an interest rate of 2.96% with an APY of 3.00%.

U.S. Bank has also added two additional types of CDs. The Step Up CD guarantees increasing interest rate for a step in the right direction. The term length is 28 months and the interest rate automatically increases at 7 months, 14 months, and 21 months. With the Trade Up CD you can invest in a long-term CD and still have the option to change to a higher rate. This 60-month term CD provides a chance to trade up to a better rate once during the original term. You can choose if and when to trade up your rate. The maturity date does not change and the funds will still be available penalty-free on the original maturity date.

CD rates, terms, and balance requirements may differ from your local branch and are only valid when you apply online. Online application is not valid for single maturity CDs, business or retirement CDs, brokerage deposits, institutional investors, public funds, or in combination with other promotional offers.

Whether you are building assets for your retirement or looking for a low-risk way to diversify your investment portfolio, U.S. Bank CD rates may be your solution to find the right savings.

Going up to Michigan this time, we here at Best CD Rates Today will be focusing on the best CD rates in Michigan to be had today. As usual, we’ll be sorting them by annual percentage yield (APY) and minimum deposit requirement.

1 Year MI CD Rates
Starting out with this popular term, we have Discover bank at 2.10% APY with a $2,500 minimum deposit requirement. Dearborn Federal is next at 1.50% APY and a $500 minimum and Citizens comes in next at 1.17% APY with a $500 minimum deposit.

3 Year Michigan CD Rates
Once again, Discover Bank with a 2.75% APY and a $2,500 minimum deposit requirement is on top. Behind them is Dearborn Federal again at 1.90% APY and a $500 minimum deposit required. Bank of America has a 1.75% APY and a $1,000 minimum deposit requirement.

5 Year CD Rates in Michigan
Citizens First Savings Bank is on top in this longer term at 3.56% APY and a $500 minimum deposit. Discover Bank is at 3.25% APY with their $2,500 minimum deposit requirement. Trialing is Flagstar at 2.54% APY and a $500 minimum deposit.

6 Month MI CD Rates
Finally, for this short term, Discover is again dominant with a 1.25% APY offer for a $2,500 minimum deposit. Both Flagstar and Dearborn Federal offer a 0.85% APY with a $500 minimum required. Citizens First Savings then has a 0.81% APY with a $1,000 minimum deposit required.

All banks listed are FDIC insured, of course. Be sure to lock your rate in if any of these offers appeal to you, since Michigan CD rates can change quickly.
