Citizens Bank CD Rates
The Citizens Bank CD rates are from a well established financial institution that got its start back in 1828. Originally this bank was called High Street Bank and was based out of Providence Rhode Island. Today they have 1500 branch offices in 12 states with over 3500 ATM’s for their customers to use free of charge.
Because this bank is so large there are times, the rates of various products will change from state to state. These CD Rates are for the Philadelphia area and were posted on July 27, 2010. This bank deploys a tier rating for their rates. The first is the standard rate. The second rate is for Circle Banking customers and the last is for Circle Gold Banking customers.
The 1 year CD has APY’s of 0.50%, 0.75% and 1.00%. The 15 month CD has APY’s of 0.75%, 1.00% and 1.25%. The 2 year CD has APY’s of 1.00%, 1.25% and 1.50%. The 3 year CD has APY’s of 1.25%, 1.50% and 1.75%. The 5 year CD has APY’s of 1.35%, 1.60% and 1.85%.
The minimum balance to open a CD is $1000. If it is an IRA account the minimum is $250.
To qualify for a Circle Gold Banking rates a person must have a Circle Gold Checking and Circle Gold Savings account open. To qualify for a Circle Banking rates the customer must have a Circle Checking and Circle Savings accounts open with Citizens Bank.
