The current Well Fargo CD rates offers a choice of terms, at guaranteed fixed rate, and interest that is compounded daily. Wells Fargo is a diversified financial services company with operations around the globe. It is the fourth largest bank in the U.S. by assets and the third largest bank by market cap. Wells Fargo is also the second largest bank in deposits, home mortgaging servicing, and debit card.
Headquartered in San Francisco, Wells Fargo is one of the Big Four banks of the U.S. It has 6,650 retail branches, 12,260 ATMs, 276,000 employees, and over 48 million customers. It currently operates branches and ATMs under the Wells Fargo and Wachovia names.
At present, Wells Fargo has featured CDs for a minimum deposit of $5,000. The special rates are applicable to the initial term only. At maturity, the CD will automatically renew for the renewal term stated, at the interest rate and APY in effect for the CDs not subject to a Special Rate, unless the bank has notified you otherwise. The Special CD Offers are as follows. The 15 months CD has an APY of 0.55%, and renews to a 12 month term. The 21 months CD has an APY of 0.90%, and renews to a 12 month term. The 28 months CD has an APY of 1.40%, and renews to a 24 month term. The 35 months CD has an APY of 1.90%, and renews to a 24 month term.
The Standard CDs require a $2500 minimum deposit. The 3 months CD has an APY of 0.10%. The 6 months CD has an APY of 0.15%. The 1 year CD has an APY of 0.30%.
At the end of the term, you have a seven-day grace period during which you can let your CD renew automatically at the current rate, withdraw all or part of your deposit, select a new term, or make one additional deposit.
