Everbank CD Rates Review

EverBankd CD rates are always some of the best nationally available CDs.  EverBank Online Banking is becoming a major player within the online banking industry both in the United Staes in around the world.  This article will review the Everbank CD rates in the hope that we find the best cd rates to invest in.

Ever Bank Direct has 4 different types of certificates of deposits that they offer.  These four types of CDs are its Everbank Yield Pledge CD, World Currency CDs, Market Safe CD, and Insured Advantage CD.  For purposes of this article, we are going to focus on Everbank’s traditional certificate of deposit which is its Yield Pledge CD.

Everbank CD Rates

Term Rate APY
3 month 1.78% 1.80%
6 month 2.23% 2.25%
9 month 2.23% 2.25%
1 year 2.47% 2.50%
1.5 year 2.47% 2.50%
2 year 2.76% 2.80%
2.5 year 2.66% 2.70%
3 year 2.66% 2.70%
4 year 2.66% 2.70%
5 year 3.25% 3.30%

From looking at the current Everbank CD rates, the Everbank 12 Month CD is currently earning an interest rate of 2.50 percent APY.  In today’s economy, interest rates on CDs are falling fast.  Six months ago, I would not have been interested in a 12 month cd earning 2.50%, but that is somewhat standard today.

The Everbank 5 year CD is currently earning an interest rate of 3.30 percent APY.  If you feel that interest rates are going to remain low, now might be the time to lock in your cd rates by buying a 5 year cd.  Personally, I believe that interest rates have to move up, so I am not as happy with the 5 year cd rates right now.

Everbank CD Minimum Deposit – Everbank CDs require depositors to deposit a minimum of $1,500 to purchase a certificate of deposit.  While you can find a lot of banks with minimum deposit requirements as low as $500, the Everbank CD requirement is not prohibitive for the average investor.
