First Financial Bank CD rates are calculated by using the national standards and internal banking rules and regulations. The bank requires a minimum investment of $500. A 6-month investment will yield 1.21% APY whereas a 1-year CD will return an APY of 1.31%.

A 2-year CD yields 1.46% whereas a 3 year CD will return 1.56% APY. A 4-year CD returns 1.66% APY. A 5-year CD has an APY of 1.66% and the rates remain constant for higher investments. All of these rates are subject to change depending on the market conditions and financial regulations by government agencies.

First Financial Bank offers relatively lower CD rates for the 5-year CD that are lower than industry standards and practices. IRA CD rates are also available but they offer a slightly higher rate at 1.31% for a one year investment whereas 5-year CD has an APY of 1.66%, same as that of ordinary CD. An ideal investment will be a 1-year CD for the short term and 5-year CD for the long term investors. The bank does not offer any of these rates to corporate customers and has put in place the general investors’ rules in the operation of these accounts and certificates of deposits.

Penalties are charged on early withdrawals and customers can also face some other deductions and additional fees in case of violation of the user agreement. Other types of investments are available at varying rates of returns depending on the total amount of investments.
