The best Georgia CD rates are better than what many would expect.
The CDs that are currently being offered by Delta Community Credit Union are reasonable with the 6 month APY being 1.15%, the 12 month APY being 1.65%, 24 month APY is 2.25%, the 36 month APY is 2.50%, and the 60 month with an APY of 3.00%. All of these CDs require a $1000 deposit. The rates were posted on April 2, 2010 and they were still current as of April 7, 2010.
FNB South has many competitive CD rates including their 91 days at 1.51% APY, 182 days at 1.77% APY. The 12 month APY being 2.02%, 24 month APY is 2.28%, the 36 month APY is 2.53%, the 48 month is 2.78% APY, and the 60 month with an APY of 3.03%. These rates were posted on November 2, 2009 and were still current as of April 7, 2010. The minimum deposit required is $500.
Another Georgia bank is KeyWorth Bank. They have the following CD rates. 3 month at 0.55% APY, 6 month at 0.95% APY, 9 month at 1.35% APY, the 12 month is 1.55% APY, the 18 month is 1.85% APY, the 2 year is 2.05% APY, the 3 year is 2.45% APY, 24year is 2.70% APY, and the 5 year is 3.00% APY. The minimum deposit to obtain the APY is $500. These rates were posted on April 6, 2010 and were still current as of April 7, 2010.
Ironstone Bank is a financial intuition that operates in many of the southern states including Georgia. They offer three different promotional CD rates. The 6 month has an APY of 0.75% with a minimum of $500 deposited. The 12 month has an APY of 1.00% with a minimum of $500 deposited and the 36 month is at 2.25% APY with a minimum of $25,000 deposited. These rates were posted on February 5, 2010 and were still current as of April 7, 2010.
