Key Bank offers three types of certificates of deposit. They have the Key Tiered CD which offers higher interest rates for higher balances, the Key Short Term CD designed for short term savings needs, and the Key Jumbo CD for balances over $100,000. The Key CDs has different rates for CDs without Relationship Reward and CDs With Relationship Reward. The minimum opening deposit is $2500.
The Key CD Rate Without Relationship Reward for 7-59 days CD has an interest rate of 0.100% with an APY of 0.10%. The 6 month CD has an interest rate of 0.150% with an APY of 0.15%. The 24 month CD has an interest rate of 0.598% with an APY of 0.60%. The Key CD with Relationship Reward is a CD with a premium interest rate for clients who have a checking account relationship. For a minimum deposit of $2500, the Key CD rates with Relationship Reward for a 7-31 days CD has an interest rate of 0.100% with an APY of 0.10%. The 6 month CD has an interest rate of 0.250% with an APY of 0.25%. The 24 month CD has an interest rate of 0.846% with an APY of 0.85%.
The Key Tiered CD and the Key Jumbo CD have four interest rate tiers, each based on your balance. The terms for the Key Tiered CD are from 6 months to 10 years or anywhere in between. The terms for Key Short Term CD are from 7 days to less than 6 months. The terms for Key Jumbo CD are from 7 days to 120 months. Key Bank CDs are current only for 11/09/2009 and are subject to change without prior notice.
