The M&T Bank CD Rates are from the 20th largest independent bank in America. They have been conducting financial services for Americans for over 150 years. With over 750 branch offices in New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, Washington DC, Virginia, West Virginia and Delaware, they are there when you need them.

There are two different levels of CD at this financial institution. There is the promotional CD’s and the M&T Select CD’s.

The promotional CD’s require that the customer have an associated M&T Select or M&T select with interest checking account. The 24 month CD has an APY of 1.25%. The 18 month CD has an APY of 1.25%. The 12 month CD has an APY of 1.10%. The 6 month CD has an APY of 0.50%.

The CD rates for the M&T Select CD’s for the 36 month and 24 month are 1.01% APY. The 18 month and 12 month CD’s have an APY of 0.85% and the 6 month CD has an APY of 0.35%. To obtain these rates the customer must have an associated M&T Select or M&T select with interest checking account. There is a minimum $1000 to open an account but only $1.00 to obtain the advertised APY rates.

These rates were posted on January 15, 2009 for the M&T Select CD’s and on May 23, 2008 for the promotional CD’s. These are the dates on the home website as of May 7, 2010 and I think they are a typo. It is advised you contact a branch office to confirm these M&T Bank CD Rates.
