Alliant Credit Union CD accounts are through Alliant CU, which is associated with United Airlines and it is the eigth largest U.S. credit union.  So it’s nothing to shake a stick at.

Minimum deposits on Alliance CU CD accounts are $1,000, with anything over $25,000 being considered a “Jumbo” and qualifying for a higher annual percentage yield.  A 12-23 month term for Alliant Credit Union CD rates are 2.75%/2.90% APY (regular/Jumbo).   The best CD rates for 24-35 month terms are 2.90%/3.05% APY and 36-47 month terms yield 3.35%/3.50% APY.  48-60 month terms give 3.60%/3.75% APY.

Alliance Credit Union CD offers also include Traditional IRA certificates, Roth IRA certificates, and education savings through Coverdell ESA best CD rates.  Most are not as high-yield as are the Alliance Credit Untion CD rates on standard certificates.

All accounts at Alliance CU CD are insured through the NCUA (National Credit Union Administration) to the fullest extent of the law.  For convenience, most Alliant Credit Union CD accounts can be rolled into another account on maturity or renewed automatically for continued savings.

These are definitely worth looking into if you prefer credit unions over banks and are interested in a high-yield and the best CD rates.
