6 month CD rate – To return to the six month CD rates, the top performer is the best CD rate at Corus Bank at 2.32% APY and a $10,000 minimum deposit.  Nexity Bank has 2.26% APY for this term with a $1,000 minimum and GMAC Bank has 2.25% APY with a $500 minimum deposit for this term.

The Zions Bank CD online at a six month term is giving a 1.51% annual percentage yield (APY) with a $1,000 minimum deposit.  Those are good CD rates for this short term.

Zions Bank CD rates for online specials at the 9 month term are at 1.66% APY with the same $1,000 minimum deposit.  This certificate of deposit is another good short-term offer.

Finally, the Zions Bank CD at 1 year for online specials offers 1.86% APY with a $1,000 minimum deposit requirement.  This is the best CD rate at Zion’s right now with the exception of their long-term accounts at 3+ years.

3 year term – Finding CD rates for this term, once again shows GMAC at the top with a 3.20% APY and a low $500 minimum deposit.  Both Discover Bank and Intervest National Bank (NY) are showing a 3.10% APY for their CD rates at this term.  In fact, we’re finding a CD rate of over 3% at seven banks right now nationally.

5 year term – Intervest Bank once again appears with top CD rates, with this term yielding 3.66% APY with a $2,500 minimum deposit.  UFBDIRECT.com is right behind at 3.65% APY and a $8,000 minimum, though, and iGOBanking.com is at 3.61% APY for this term with a $1,000 minimum deposit.  Several great certificate of deposit offers with high CD rates are available at this term nationally, though.
