For this term, it’s again Discover Bank at an impressive 3.00% APY with that $2,500 minimum deposit requirement. Citizens Bank has a 1.75% APY and Chittenden Bank has a 1.50% APY and both have a $1,000 minimum deposit requirement.

5 Year Vermont CD Rates
It’s still Discover Bank for this term, at 3.50% APY with their $2,500 minimum deposit requirement. Citizens Bank has a 2.50% APY and a $1,000 minimum deposit. BB&T comes in at 1.60% APY with the same $1,000 minimum deposit requirement.

6 Month CD Rates in Vermont
Finally, for the short-term investor, the best VT CD rates are at Chittenden and Discover Banks, both with a 1.25% APY and a $1,000 and $2,500 minimum deposit requirement, respectively. Citizens Bank has a 0.75% APY with a $1,000 minimum deposit as well.
